London, June 29, 2021 – Roger Federer suffers but wins at the debut on the lawn of Wimbledon. The first round of the London tournament turned out to be even more complicated than expected for the Swiss champion, who challenged and beat Adrian Mannarino. It was crucial the injury suffered by the French tennis player at the beginning of the fifth set, which forced Mannarino to give flat rate.

Until that moment Re Roger had been able to win the first set 6-4, only to suffer terribly the next two halves: the first lost in the tie-break and the second for 6-3. When everything seemed to be going for the worse, the Swiss raised his head and placed a 6-2 that had however directed him towards a possible victory. The passage of the turn guarantees a Federer another match in the prestigious London tournament, which will be played tomorrow against Frenchman Gasquet.

The difficulty for the Swiss tennis player the following are clear: the physical condition not optimal after returning from a long injury and the weight of the years – this year for him there will be 40 springs on his shoulders – are not helping him. All the fans of the King of weed, however, are still hoping to see a last triumphal dance of their idol.
