London, 5 July 2022 – The wait is growing for the start of the match between Jannik Sinner e Novak Djokovic. After having played one of the best matches in his career against Carlos Alcaraz and having snatched for the first time in his career the pass for the quarter-finals of Wimbledon, the South Tyrolean has no intention of stopping. Even if in front of him there is a sacred monster of world tennis like Djokovic, who has won the London tournament on six occasions, and who is considered the great favorite for the final success also on this occasion. The Serbian eliminated the Dutchman in the round of 16 Tim van Rijthoven, beating him 3-1. Only one precedent between him and our Sinner: that of 2021 in the second round of the Rolex Monte Carlo Masters, when the current number 3 of the ATP ranking won 2-0 (6-4, 6-2). But there we were on the red earth. Who knows that on the grass the music cannot change, for what would be an epochal undertaking by the blue born in 2001.
