The Beijing Winter Olympics consists of 7 major events, 15 sub-events and 109 sub-events. In addition to skiing including 6 events and skating including 3 events, the “major event” of snowmobiles at the Winter Olympics includes 2 sub-items of steel frame snowmobiles and snowmobiles.

Both the bobsleigh and the snowmobile are winter sports with a long history, and both sports focus on speed. The steel-frame snowmobile, known as the “ice diving machine”, was “excluded” from the Winter Olympics twice because it was too thrilling, and it was not stabilized until after 2002. Snowmobile:
Snowmobiling originated in Switzerland and has been included in the competition since the first Winter Olympics. In the Beijing Winter Olympics, the sleigh will compete in men’s doubles, men’s fours, and women’s doubles, while the women’s single sled is a new addition to this Winter Olympics. The National Snowmobile Sled Center, also known as “Snow Dragon”, located in Xiaohaituo Mountain, Yanqing, Beijing, will become the competition venue for the snowmobile event of the Beijing Winter Olympics.
Before the start of the snowmobile race, the skid edge of the snowmobile enters the groove to ensure that the body does not slip sideways. Within 60 seconds after the start signal is issued, the athlete can start to run the snowmobile to obtain the initial speed, and the pushing distance is about 50 meters. Steel frame sled:
The steel frame sled race requires the athlete to lie prone on the sled, with the chest next to the sled. After the start signal is issued, give the sled an initial power, and then quickly lie prone on the sled and rush to the track. It is allowed to fall in the middle, but it reaches the finish line. must be on a sled.
The birth of the steel frame sled can be traced back to the end of the nineteenth century, with a history of more than 120 years. The steel frame snowmobile has no steering gear and braking device. The bottom of the car is composed of a lead-weighted skeleton and two fixed tubular steel blades. The front and rear of the car body are equipped with buffers, and a handle is installed in the middle for the athletes to push the snowmobile when they start. It is also beneficial for athletes to stabilize their bodies in the car body.
Great powers compete:
In the history of the Winter Olympics, snowmobiles and steel-framed snowmobiles have always been dominated by European and American athletes. Teams from Germany, Switzerland, Italy, the United States, and Canada are all very strong.
