This year, however, will be more difficult, because reconfirming is never easy in football and then because there will be more relegations. Compared to last season we are no longer in a group of twelve teams, but of sixteen and with trips also to central Italy, to Terni and Perugia ». Last year there was only one relegation per group, this year three. The regulation provides that the last two will be relegated directly to Serie D, while the other four (from the sixth last to the third last) will make the playout with a third relegation: «We want to avoid ending up in the lower areas of the standings – says Pairotto -. If last year the leitmotif was enthusiasm, work and mentality, this year to these three steps, a fourth must be added: continuity ». Among the new faces, the Alexandrian striker Arianna Montecucco, 26, already has clear ideas: “I really want to start this adventure and I can promise our fans the maximum commitment and I will try to do everything to finish in double this year too, after the Ravenna experience, with 18 centers ».
The new general manager Paolo Polesenani then explains what the pre-season will be: “We will play in a friendly match on Sunday 29 August, at 5 pm in Albiano d’Ivrea against Moncalieri (Excellence), then the following week we will be busy with the Turin Academy, while first official seasonal appointment will be Sunday 12 September in the Italian Cup.
