For the Lana it is the Italian asphalt rally championship. This is the new name that Aci sport has given to the former Wrc tricolor and which sees the Biellese race par excellence included in the calendar. Satisfaction by Corrado Pinzano for the RallyAlive promoter of the event and for Peppe Zagami, organizer of the actual race with his New Turbomark. “In four editions – says Pinzano – from zero validity, we have managed to bring the race back to where it deserves to be”. The Lana will also be valid for the Zone 1 championship with the highest coefficient of all the Piedmontese rallies and will be stormed by local drivers looking for heavy points for the rankings. For New Turbomark and its staff this is their first time as an Italian. Zagami says: «Excited and happy for a result that rewards the technical value and safety of the race. The credit is also due to the promoters like Pinzano and the municipal administrations who have supported us over the years ». Ac Biella president Andrea Gibello is also satisfied. «We already had hints at the end of the summer when at an important event, Zagami and I, in chat with the general manager of Aci sport Marco Rogano, we realized that there was interest in the Biella race. Then they promoted the Rally Alba to the absolute championship and so Lana joined the Cira ».
It will take place in the second half of July, Friday and Saturday, with a course that will have 90 to 100 kilometers of special stages and a timed shakedown. The route is not yet known but Zagami has precise ideas. «We would like to enhance two valleys and the capital. Biella must have the proof of Oropa and with the mayor Corradino and the commissioner Moscarola we plan to bring everything back to Piazza Duomo. Maybe with the last special stage in the evening and, after the arrival, the big party ». Attention also to the little ones with a section dedicated to them with electric karts and perhaps simulators.
