Phone calls, meetings, operational meetings and final briefings in view of the Six Days Enduro, which will start on Monday 30 August, on the streets of Pavia Edoardo Zucca, president of the Moto Club Pavia, and member of the organizing committee of the event, lives very intense days: ” There is great anticipation and we want to take care of every detail for this international event, which we are proud to host in our province. I think it is the most important competition, in terms of motorsport, ever organized in our lands ».

The work of the organizing committee started 3 years ago, with the assignment of the Six Days to Italy; along the way, the unwelcome obstacle of the pandemic revealed itself, postponing the competition for a year and complicating organizational plans: “We had to deal with the forfeit of some sponsors, while others have reduced their commitment due to del Covid – explains Zucca – now that the event is about to begin, I have to thank the Moto Club Alfieri of Asti, the main organizer of the Six Days, to which we have given all the necessary support, together with other Moto Clubs. they have always supported, as well as the police, with whom we have collaborated in a profitable way ».

Yesterday, the administrative procedures for checking the bikes that will be at the starting line were completed. «We dedicated ourselves to the preliminary operations on the motorcycles, then we carried out the technical checks, the sound level checks and the punching, after which the vehicles were placed in the closed park. During the race, as foreseen by the regulations of the Six Days, only the rider will have the possibility to work on his own bike; the mechanics just refuel and check the liquids, everything else, such as any mechanical repairs, the assembly of the wheels or the change of the air filter is up to the driver ».

To supervise the competition, there is an international jury, made up of 30 people, with delegates representing each nation entered in the competition. The curiosity concerns the passage of the motorcycles on the traditional road sections; in this case, the pilots of the Six Days must respect the ztrada code, like ordinary citizens and in case of violation, they will be sanctioned. The service staff of the organizing committee is made up of 300 people, with an impressive medical service, which provides for the presence of four ambulances for each special stage, doctors and resuscitators in motion following the race.

With regard to the starting procedure, for the first day the number of drivers, divided by displacement, will be taken into account, then the number of starters from the second day of the race will depend on the classification. The Moto Club Pavia, champion in the category reserved for clubs in the Six Days Enduro in Argentina in 2014, focuses heavily on the trio Bruschi-Scarpelli-Conforti; the other two teams of the Moto Club Pavia at the start of the Six Days are made up of a team of young promises and a group of local enthusiasts. –
