The latest leak shows that Apple is developing a new version of the HomePod with a built-in display. The product’s code was revealed in the tvOS 17.4 Beta 3 with a mysterious code name Z314. This unreleased product is expected to integrate with Apple TV hardware and the HomePods operating system, providing a cohesive system for users.

According to reports, the Z314 is powered by the A15 Bionic chip and is expected to be released in prototype and production versions. This is considered a significant milestone in the development process.

The new HomePod with a built-in display is expected to serve as a central hub for smart homes, similar to other products developed by smart home manufacturers. In addition to displaying content and controlling functions, the display may also be used for video calls using FaceTime.

Apple is also said to be considering a model with a touch-sensitive display, which is rumored to be in development for release by the end of 2023.
