Assassin’s Creed Mirage may have left fans wanting more, as developer Stéphane Boudon hints at further exploration of Basim’s story.

The latest installment in the popular franchise impressed fans and critics alike with its return to the series’ roots, combining newer elements with more traditional stealth-based gameplay. However, according to a recent Reddit AMA with Boudon, Mirage was designed as a standalone experience with no plans for DLC at this time.

Despite this, Boudon revealed that there are ideas on how to expand Basim’s story in the future. While there are no immediate plans for post-launch content, it seems that developers have not completely ruled out the possibility of revisiting Basim’s character in future installments.

In the meantime, Assassin’s Creed is heading in a new direction with upcoming releases set in feudal Japan and a unique experience in Assassin’s Creed: Codename: Hexe. Fans will have to wait and see if and when Basim’s story may continue in future games.
