Apple Adjusts Battery Health Settings for iPhone 15 Series with iOS 17.4 Update

With the update of iOS 17.4, Apple has made adjustments to the battery health settings for iPhones, particularly the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models.

The battery lifespan has been doubled with the new update. Previously, Apple stated that iPhone batteries could retain up to 80% of their original capacity after 500 complete charge cycles. According to a report by 9to5Mac, after 1000 complete charge cycles, the iPhone 15 is able to retain 80% of its original capacity, a significant improvement over previous models.

Apple has stated that their testing simulates typical usage scenarios, with the battery undergoing 1000 complete charge and discharge cycles. This improvement is due to advancements in Apple’s battery components and system management over the years.

It’s important to note that these battery health changes only apply to the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Previous iPhone models are not included in this update. Apple has also stated that they are investigating older iPhone models for potential changes.
