NetherRealm Announces Cross-Platform Play for Mortal Kombat 1 Next Week

Fans of Mortal Kombat 1 will finally have the opportunity to play against each other across different platforms, as NetherRealm has confirmed the introduction of cross-platform play next week. The upcoming patch, titled “krossplay” Content, will allow players on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S to battle it out in this rebooted fighting game.

However, cross-platform play will not be available on every platform, so players on other devices will have to stick to playing within their own ecosystem. This means that extravagant gaming setups with high frame rates will not be able to dominate matches against players on less powerful devices.

More information on this highly anticipated feature is expected to be released early next week. In the meantime, fans can check out details about the upcoming Peacemaker character in Mortal Kombat 1. Stay tuned for updates on this exciting new addition to the game!
