Team NINJA Offers Behind-the-Scenes Look at New PS5 Game “Rise of the Ronin”

Team NINJA has released behind-the-scenes footage of their highly anticipated new PS5 game “Rise of the Ronin”. The game, set in the Bakumatsu period, promises to deliver an open-world action RPG experience that takes players deep into 19th-century Japan.

The first chapter of the game, titled “Starting Point”, will reveal the secrets of game development and introduce players to the chaotic world of the Bakumatsu era. According to the creators, players will be able to shape the future of Japan as a masterless samurai in this new game.

Visual director Keishi Otomo and composer Inon Zur discussed the intricacies of re-presenting 19th-century Japan and the relationship between ideology and culture in the Bakumatsu era. Their use of various game design methods aims to immerse players in the darkest era before dawn, providing a unique and immersive gaming experience.

“Rise of the Ronin” is set to be officially released on March 22, 2024, and is expected to be a groundbreaking addition to the PS5 game library.
