ATLUS revealed the eagerly anticipated enhanced version of “Shin Megami Tensei V” during the recent Nintendo Direct event. The new edition, titled “Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance,” promises to bring even more excitement and depth to the popular RPG series.

“Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance” is not just a simple re-release, but a brand new work based on the original game. Alongside the complete original content, players can now choose a new route at the beginning of the game, known as the “Nemesis Chapter.” This new storyline will introduce major changes to the plot and result in a different ending, adding a fresh layer of intrigue and replay value.

In addition to the new route, the game introduces new banshee demons, including the powerful Lilith, and adds a new playable character, “Xunmine Yoko,” who will join forces with the protagonist.

The game’s system has also been updated, with new maps, mazes, and tasks to explore. The combat system retains the beloved 1 More system while introducing special skills for all demons, enhancing the strategic elements of battle.

Furthermore, “Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance” includes 40 new types of demons, obtainable through dialogue, combat, and synthesis. The addition of automatic combat and DLC chapters from the previous game will provide an accessible and enriching experience for all players.

“Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance” boasts a playtime of approximately 80 hours for a single route, totaling 160 hours including the original route.

The game is set to be released on June 21 on PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. Players opting for the Switch version and who have saved data from “Shin Megami Tensei V” will receive special bonuses, including the ability to bring three previously developed companions into the new game.
