The first images of the Phone 2A, the new face of Nothing, have been revealed

On the occasion of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (all the news here)Nothing gave a glimpse of its new smartphone, the third of the company co-founded by Carl Pei after the excellent Phone 1 and Phone 2.

The device is called Phone 2A e it should be positioned under the Phone 2 in terms of features and above all price, competing with the almost homonymous Google Pixels from the A range.

The LEDs are there, but they are fewer

The (little) that could be seen in Barcelona was the back of the phone, which will have the company’s characteristic LEDs, used for ringtones, volume, music and notifications: however, they seem to be fewer than those seen on Phone 1 and Phone 2 and concentrated only in the upper part. The arrangement of the cameras is also curious, giving the impression of being the eyes of an imaginary face.

Which is perhaps why the official presentation event of the phone was titled Fresh Eyes: you can follow it online from 12.30 pm Italian on 5 Marchand for now little else is known about the smartphone, apart from rumors, indiscretions and renderings.

The only thing Nothing has confirmed is that the Phone 2A “will be equipped with a custom Dimensity 7200 Pro processor, designed in collaboration with MediaTek”, which would have been optimized above all with attention to the performance/autonomy ratio. The company clarified that it was developed by the Taiwanese TSMC with “second generation 4 nm process”, which is 8 cores, with clock speeds of up to 2.8 GHz and which is combined with a RAM that can reach up to 20 GB (probably thanks to the use of so-called virtual memory).
