Dead Island 2’s Second Story Expansion Pack “SoLA” Officially Launches on Multiple Platforms

The highly anticipated second story expansion pack for “Dead Island 2,” developed by Dambuster Studios, has officially launched on Xbox, PS, and the Epic Game Store. Entitled “SoLA,” the new DLC takes players to the heart of Los Angeles for a blood-soaked music festival unlike any other.

In this new chapter of the game, players must confront a deadly virus that has swept through the valley, turning its inhabitants into ravenous zombies. Sinister rhythms echo from beneath the earth, calling out for their own flesh-eating rhythms. As players are drawn to the music festival by a mysterious warning message, they must explore the ruins of “SoLA” and stop the otherworldly threat that lurks within.

The expansion pack includes a host of new features, including a new location in the heart of Los Angeles where the beats threaten to transform living people into zombies. Players will also encounter new enemies such as the “Whipper,” a self-loathing mutant capable of ranged attacks, and the unsettling “Clutter,” who can disintegrate into a pile of flesh before regrouping elsewhere to continue the fight.

To help players combat these new threats, the expansion pack introduces the Ripper, a deadly baseball bat and buzz saw combined into a vibrating dismemberment machine. Additionally, the “Sawblade Launcher” is a heavy weapon that launches a rotating saw blade for long-range decapitation and dismemberment.

With its immersive storyline, terrifying new enemies, and powerful new weapons, “SoLA” promises to deliver a heart-pounding gaming experience for fans of the “Dead Island” series. Be sure to check out the expansion pack now available on Xbox, PS, and the Epic Game Store.
