Transsion Set to Launch Updated Versions of Phantom V Fold and Flip

Transsion made waves in the smartphone industry last year with the launch of its first foldable screen phone, the Phantom V Fold, powered by the powerful Dimensity 9000+ processor. Now, the company is gearing up to release updated versions of this model, as indicated by recent certifications and benchmark scores.

Two new Transsion smartphones, identified by model numbers AE10 and AE11, have recently passed European EEC certification. Speculations suggest that these models could be the Phantom V2 Fold and V2 Flip, serving as iterative updates to the original Phantom V Fold.

Both the AE10 and AE11 models have also made an appearance on the benchmark platform Geekbench 5.4.6 Android version AArch64. The AE10 model boasts a single-core score of 1283 points and a multi-core score of 3974 points, indicating the use of the Dimensity 9000+ processor. On the other hand, the AE11 model scored 832 points in single-core and 3130 points in multi-core, hinting at the presence of the Dimensity 8020 processor.

While additional configurations of the new models remain unknown, a look back at the specifications of the original Phantom V Fold and Flip offers some insights. The Phantom V Fold features a 7.85-inch foldable internal screen with a resolution of 2000 x 2296, supporting a 120Hz LTPO panel. It is powered by the Dimensity 9000+ processor, houses a 5000mAh battery, and supports 45W wired charging. On the photography front, it boasts a rear setup of a 50-megapixel main lens, 50-megapixel 2x zoom lens, and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.

On the other hand, the Phantom V Flip sports a 6.9-inch OLED screen with 120Hz LTPO refresh rate, powered by the Dimensity 8050 processor. It packs a 4500mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. In terms of camera capabilities, it offers a 64-megapixel main lens, 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 32-megapixel front lens.
