The U.S. Navy’s Third Fleet said in a statement on Tuesday (May 31) that the exercises were held near Honolulu and Southern California, and military units from 26 countries will participate in the exercises from June 29 to August 4 this year. . 38 surface ships, 4 submarines and 170 aircraft will participate in the exercise. Japan, South Korea send large-scale fleets to participate in exercises

Expert: The Central Pacific exercise sends a deterrent signal to the CCP

Carl Schuster, former director of operations at the U.S. Pacific Command’s Joint Intelligence Center, told CNN that in addition to its military value, the RIMPAC lineup shows how much political influence the U.S. maintains around the world.

“This marks the strength and breadth of the U.S. global maritime partnership and is a very important deterrent to any would-be aggressor who might perceive the decline of U.S. influence and strategic position, especially the U.S. Navy. signal,” he said.
