[EpochTimesSeptember92021](Epoch Times reporter Tian Rui reported in Sydney, Australia) In the past week, seven Australians who received the AZ vaccine developed thrombotic symptoms, including a 25-year-old young man. Suspected cases of myocarditis or pericarditis after being vaccinated by Pfizer also increased by 77 cases within a week.

The Australian Medical Supplies Administration (TGA) announced in its Vaccine Safety Weekly Update on September 9 that of the 7 new cases of thrombosis, 4 were confirmed cases of thrombotic thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS), and 2 were probable cases. Five of them are under 60 years old. There is another case that was originally a probable case and is now classified as a confirmed case.

The confirmed cases include a 25-year-old man from Victoria, a 48-year-old woman from NSW, a 58-year-old man from NSW and an 89-year-old man from Queensland.

The remaining three cases are a 44-year-old man and a 50-year-old man from NSW, and a 65-year-old woman from Victoria.

So far, Australians have received a total of 10.2 million doses of the AZ vaccine, and a total of 132 cases of vaccinated patients have suffered from thrombosis, including 74 confirmed cases and 58 possible cases.

According to the Australian Medical Supplies Administration, severe thrombotic thrombocytopenia syndrome after vaccination with AZ seems to be more common among young women, while cases of myocarditis or pericarditis after vaccination with Pfizer are relatively more common among young men. More.

As of September 5, the Australian Medical Supplies Administration has received a total of 370 suspected cases of myocarditis and pericarditis after being vaccinated with Pfizer, an increase of 77 cases within a week.

There are 12 minors in these cases, including 10 boys and 2 girls between the ages of 15 and 17. Five people became ill after the first shot of the vaccine, and 7 people became ill after the second shot.

The Australian Medical Supplies Authority said it would review these cases of myocarditis and pericarditis to assess their relationship with vaccination. “Myocarditis and pericarditis can be caused by other causes, including common viral infections, so it is expected that many reported cases may not be related to vaccination. We will continue to monitor and review reports of suspected myocarditis and pericarditis that have occurred after vaccination.” ◇
