A black Barbie to remember Ida B. Wells, the rights activist for African Americans

Remained more in the shade than figures such as Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks, Ida B. Wells now has the recognition and fame it deserves. On Monday 17 January, on the occasion of Mlk Day, Barbie with her likeness arrives in American toy stores, giving her a place in the history and collective imagination of generations of girls.
