The head of the “pro-life” commission of the American Bishops’ Conference, William Lori, has asked US Catholics to “pray and fast” to “reverse the decisions Roe against Wade and Casey” on abortion.

Lori said the draft Supreme Court ruling on abortion “reminds us of the urgent need to pray and act,” noting that the “Church cares about every mother and every unborn child.” The Archbishop of Baltimore recalled that for the Church “life begins at the moment of conception” and asked Catholics to support pregnant women and young mothers.
