Afghanistan, Airbnb offers hospitality to 20,000 displaced people

by admin

Starting today, the online rental giant Airbnb will begin hosting 20,000 Afghan refugees worldwide for free: the company’s CEO Brian Chesky announced on Twitter. Chesky explained that it will be the company itself that will pay for the stays, even if obviously the operation can be implemented “only with the generosity” of the owners of the houses. In Afghanistan, the takeover by the Taliban has created thousands of refugees, many of whom are carried away from the country by the allied powers via a giant airlift.
