Violent fighting is underway in the capital between Taliban militiamen and ISIS-K forces who have long challenged the role of the Taliban as the main reference of radical Islam in the country.
Also in Kabul in the morning there was an explosion in the Darulaman Road district which left five injured.

Violence in the country is now daily, and the Taliban’s claim to have restored security is only partially true.
