After the expulsion of UN representatives, ICC officials arrived in Caracas amid secrecy

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has dispatched officials to Caracas following the expulsion of representatives from the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights office in Venezuela. The secret arrival of the ICC envoys under the orders of chief prosecutor Karim Khan has raised speculation about the opening of an ICC office in Caracas to advance investigations in the Venezuela I case. This case pertains to alleged crimes against humanity committed by Chavista officials. Meetings have been held with senior Chavismo officials, although there has been no official confirmation of the installation of an ICC office in Caracas. This development comes after the arbitrary expulsion of 13 UN employees by the Maduro regime.
