There is a slow and silent slaughter of indigenous leaders also taking place in the country of Daniel Ortega. Little is said about it although for years the violence, kidnappings, assaults, village fires with the following raids, including rape and torture, have been denounced by international humanitarian organizations. The latest victim of this slaughter who goes unpunished due to the obvious complicity of the Managua regime, is a well-known indigenous chief of the Mayangna tribe, a native population of the Central American country.
