“Animals are sentient beings”, the UK revolution

LONDON – Those who have one at home probably already knew this and would add that they should also be considered as intelligent as humans. But in the meantime, for the first time, animals in the United Kingdom will be recognized as “sentient beings”, in a reform of the laws on the subject judged as a victory for the animal rights movement.

For the dictionary, sentient means endowed with senses, with sensitivity, in other words the ability to feel.
