A car explosion occurred in the port city of Liverpool in the northwest of the United Kingdom on the 14th, resulting in one death and one injury. The British anti-terrorist police have intervened in the investigation and arrested 3 people.

British police confirmed that at around 11 o’clock local time on the 14th, a taxi exploded outside a hospital in central Liverpool, killing passengers and injuring the taxi driver. The wounded were taken to the hospital for treatment, no life threatened.

After the incident, ambulances and firefighters rushed to the scene. The police set up a cordon around the hospital and launched an investigation into the cause of the explosion.

The police said that the car explosion has not yet been classified as a “terrorist incident”, but out of prudent considerations, the British anti-terrorist police have intervened and led the investigation. At present, the police arrested 3 men aged 21 to 29 years old under the anti-terrorism law.
