Austria, Kurz leaves politics permanently

by admin

Former Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz will soon leave politics. “The decisive moment was the birth of my son” a few days ago, Kurz told the Kronen Zeitung. Overwhelmed by the investigation of the piloted polls, which would have been paid in part by the government, Kurz had left the seat of head of government to Alexander Schallenberg, remaining however leader of the popular party Oevp and becoming group leader in parliament. However, he will leave both functions shortly, according to reports from the newspaper. New secretary Oevp could become the interior minister Karl Nehammer.
