BIME Bogotá completes its poster for this edition

BIME Bogotá will fill the capital with Colombia from May 8 to 11 of live music and professionals in the sector. More than two thousand professionals are expected, in addition to a hundred activities and more than sixty concerts with names to highlight for the future.

BIME Bogotá is oriented towards the Latin American music industry, becoming a reference meeting in the sector. More than two thousand professionals are expected, as well as artists, students, institutions, brands and agents from all over the world, who will not want to miss the opportunity to take advantage of all the advantages that this event will offer.

Now the program is completed with the participation of nearly two hundred experts and artists who will pass through the Colombian capital during the four days that the event will last, from May 8 to 11.

To the names already confirmed to date, names like those of the Argentine artist are added. As for the rest of the programming, on May 8 there will be the participation of Enrique Bunbury (ES) next to Leila Cobo (CO/US), executive director of Billboard, in an inaugural conversation that will try to outline the career of the Spanish artist; and that will continue with more protagonists like the Spanish Lola Indigo (ES), one of the most prominent artists on the current music scene, professionals such as Maykol Sanchez (US), director of music for Latin America at Spotify; Daouda Leonard (US), founder and CEO of Createsafe and manager of the artist Grimes; Rocio Guerrero (ES), head of Latin music Iberia at Amazon Music; Brigitte Baptiste (CO), Chancellor of Ean University; either Luis Giraldo (CO), from Bichota Records and father of the artist Karol G.

At BIME Pro there will be conversations about trends in the music industry around topics such as the role of TikTok, the development and export of Latin talent, the sustainability of live shows, audience engagement, the global impact of Mexican music, the state of Latin music and its global reach, the new creative and legislative dimensions offered by Artificial Intelligence, music in video games, or new business models, among others.

The BIME programming will continue in the afternoon and evening in different parts of the city, with BIME Live, a program of concerts and showcases aimed at showing the proposals of artists with greater international projection, which will take place at the EAN University itself, headquarters of BIME Pro, and in the Creative District of Calle 85, in spaces such as Sánchez Cervecería, La Patrona, Egua, Mad Radio and 440 Music Hall. To the more than thirty artists recently announced, others will be added such as Coco Ramé (CO, indie folk), Lara91K (AR, rap), The Pharmacists (CO, cumbia-rap), La Pambelé (CO, salsa brava), Armenia (CO, pop rock), Risk (WHAT, rap), El Kalvo (WHAT, rap), The Gods of Rhythm (CO, exotic), Ecuador Clown Dada (EC, psychedelic cumbia), Wolf Girl (UY, indie) o That is, Almic (Oops, rap), among others.

As to BIM Start Up!, the program to give a boost to new companies, will feature Pro Indie Music, Snafu Song Fund, Son Gain, Gudmerch, Cactus Music, and Giggin, which will be part of StartUp Village, an exhibition area for investors; and in the StartUp Competition. It will also maintain the BIME Campus, led by the SGAE Foundation and with the participation of experts who will give masterclasses on various topics; speedmeeting sessions, networking and various work tables, as well as events and receptions with the presence of delegations of professionals from countries such as Canada, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, Spain, Peru, Uruguay or Venezuela, among others. Collaborations are also maintained with the Ministry of Culture of Spain, MIM, the Faro media alliance, Basque.Music, ICEX, ProChile, Ibermúsica, Procolombiaetc.

Finally, the International Vinyl Meeting will be held within its framework, which will feature conversations, workshops, networking spaces, showcases and a large global vinyl market.

Tickets for BIME Bogotá are available to attend in person and online, and at a reduced price for students, on the official website www.bime.org. On the other hand, it is worth remembering that BIME Bilbao will be held a few months later, between the days October 29 and November 1.
