[ロンドン/シンガポール 4日 ロイター] – Crypto asset (virtual currency) Bitcoin exceeded $68,000 in trading on the 4th, setting a new high for the first time in two years. The price is on the verge of reaching an all-time high.

It rose to $68,580 at one point and is currently at $68,161. It is approaching the all-time high of $68,999.99 set in November 2021.

The increase rate since the beginning of the year is 50%. It has soared in recent weeks after the U.S. approved exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that track physical bitcoin this year.

ETF approval opens the door for new big investors to enter, reigniting enthusiasm reminiscent of the all-time high of 2021.

Net inflows into the top 10 U.S. Bitcoin spot ETFs reached $2.17 billion in the week ending March 1, according to LSEG data. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT.O), opens new tab accounted for more than half.

Ether has also risen 50% since the beginning of the year on speculation that an ETF will be approved soon. On the 4th, the stock rose 2.6% from the previous day to $3,518, the highest price in two years.
