Tens of thousands of Brazilians took to the streets last night in protest against the president’s handling of the coronavirus crisis Jair Bolsonaro, and according to some observers it was the largest demonstration the country has ever seen since the beginning of the pandemic.

The mobilization was organized by opposition parties, social movements, trade union organizations and student groups, with protests recorded in at least 16 cities across the country and abroad, according to Globe.
