A series of explosions rocked a military base south of Baghdad, Iraq, leaving at least three members of the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) injured. The PMU, also known as Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) and supported by Iran, confirmed that five explosions occurred at their headquarters on the Kalsu military base in the Al-Mashrou district of Babylon.

The incident was reported by Muhannad al-Anazi, a member of the Security Committee of the Babylon governorate, who stated that the explosions caused material losses and injuries. An investigation team has been deployed to the scene to determine the cause of the explosions.

Despite speculation, Israel has denied any involvement in the attacks in Iraq. Similarly, the US Central Command and the Combined Joint Task Force leading Operation Inherent Resolve have confirmed that the US-led coalition did not carry out any attacks in Iraq.

This latest development comes shortly after a separate attack on a military base in Isfahan, Iran, where a US official claimed that Israel was responsible for the incident. The situation in the region remains tense as more information emerges about the series of explosions near the Iraqi capital of Baghdad.
