British Secretary of Health: England will not implement stricter epidemic prevention measures before New Year

by admin

Faced with the increasing number of new crown cases across the country, the country’s four administrative regions are implementing different epidemic prevention measures. Wales and Northern Ireland introduced new restrictions; Scotland once again issued a social distancing policy. However, the new restrictions have not been implemented in England, although the increasing number of cases has put some pressure on the government.

On Christmas Eve, 105,000 new cases of new crowns were reported across England; on Christmas Day, the number of new cases was 113,000; the day after Christmas, the number was 103,000; on the 27th, it dropped to 98,000. In the past 7 days, the number of hospitalizations in England has increased by 36% from last week.

British Health Secretary Javid said that the British government will not take further restrictive measures before the New Year, but the British people need to continue to be cautious, especially during the New Year celebrations. However, the government is continuing to pay close attention to the situation of the epidemic, and if necessary, stricter epidemic prevention measures may be implemented from January next year.
