Burma, trial of San Suu Kyi: this is what the military judges contest

The former Burmese leader today spoke for the first time in the ongoing trial against her in the capital Naypyidaw. Aung San Suu Kyi faces several years in prison. Since her overthrow by the military on February 1, the Nobel Peace Prize winner has never faced her accusers directly. Under house arrest, in total isolation, the former leader was able to communicate with the outside world only through his lawyers who were banned from speaking to journalists about the trial.
