In the Anglophone region of Cameroon, the phones of Doctors Without Borders have been ringing for six months. Msf responds but cannot intervene. There are ambulances (2), the staff also (92 Cameroonian and 5 international). But a regional decree does not make them leave. “For six months in the northwest of Cameroon, essential medical care has been denied. It is an unacceptable price for all Cameroonian citizens, many of whom have been forced to flee to the countryside, unable to bear sight, sound and the threats of continuing violence ”, he explains Laura Martinelli, head of mission of the NGO in the African country.
