OTTAWA – At least one person died as a result of the floods that hit the southwest of Canada and isolated the city of Vancouver from the rest of the country. The Canadian police reported. A woman’s body was pulled out of the mud in Lillooet, 250 kilometers from Vancouver. The police have reported two missing but warned that the toll is still provisional. Torrential rains blocked road traffic and forced thousands of people to leave their homes. The railway connection with the port of Vancouver, essential for supplies, was also interrupted.
