The British billionaire Richard Branson plans to go to space on July 11, 9 days before the patron of Amazon, Jeff Bezos. This was announced by his company Virgin Galactic, which has developed a spacecraft capable of suborbital flights.
“The window for the next test flight of the SpaceShipTwo Unity (spacecraft) opens on July 11, subject to weather conditions and technical checks,” Virgin Galactic said in a statement.
Bezos: “I’m going to space with my brother and the winner of the passenger seat competition”
In recent weeks, Mr Amazon had announced that on July 20 he will board the New Shepard suborbital launcher to participate in the first tourist trip of his company Blue Origin, together with his brother. But Branson’s announcement now upsets hierarchies: Virgin founder should be able to burn Tesla number one Elon Musk and Bezos himself.
