SANTIAGO DEL CHILE – What does it mean to lose sight of one’s ideas? What do you feel when you leave your home to demonstrate for a fairer country and return without your eyes? It happened to over 460 Chilean citizens who, during the demonstrations that began in October 2019, were partially or totally blinded by the police due to the firing of rubber bullets or tear gas canisters thrown in the face.
