China has locked up dozens of political dissidents in psychiatric hospitals

“In 2022 the Communist Party of China still regularly imprisons political opponents in psychiatric hospitals despite the fact that more than a decade ago it applied legislative changes to curb this barbaric practice.” This is the complaint of the NGO Safeguard Defenders, which in its latest report documents forced hospitalizations for those who criticize the Party in psychiatric facilities without any medical justification.
