China-Lithuania, diplomatic crisis: Beijing downgrades diplomatic relations with Vilnius on the Taiwan question

BEIJING – Beijing had called it an “outrageous” act, threatening political retaliation. Arrive on time. After the opening last Thursday of a Taiwanese representative office in Lithuania, yesterday morning the Communist government decided to downgrade diplomatic relations with the Baltic country to the rank of “charge d’affaires”. The island that Beijing wants to restore at all costs is therefore returning to re-explode the tensions between the Asian giant and the small Baltic country.
