Juninho outwitted Tah in a one-on-one duel before sending a pass to Yassine Benzia. Benzia easily shot the ball into the top corner of Kovar’s goal.

This goal made Qarabag even more enthusiastic about pressing Leverkusen in search of a second goal. The result was that in the final minute of first half injury time, Qarabag doubled their lead to 2-0.

Juninho is now the one who got his name on the scoreboard after making a solo run into the penalty box. Just dealing with Kovar, Juninho outwits him before hitting the ball into the goal.

Trailing 0-2, Leverkusen changed strategy in the second half. Coach Xabi Alonso had to include Florian Wirtz and Granit Xhaka.

The effort was successful because Wirtz scored a goal that reduced the score to 1-2 in the 70th minute. Receiving a pass from his partner, Wirtz then chipped the ball in front of the goalkeeper and the ball went into the goal.

After that, Leverkusen continued to pressure Qarabag and got the momentum to immediately score another goal. The host’s victory that was in sight disappeared after Patrick Schick scored a goal in the 92nd minute!
