Joe Biden said that “probably” new health recommendations or restrictions will be taken in the US to address the resurgence of Covid-19 cases, despite the resumption of the vaccination rush in the country. Asked whether Americans should expect new recommendations from health authorities or new restrictive measures, the US president replied “probably” before leaving the White House by helicopter for the weekend. Biden did not specify what kind of measures he was talking about, however, at a time when US federal authorities, as well as local and corporate officials, have recently tightened their health protocols.

In Mexico, another 19,346 new cases of Covid have been ascertained for a total of 2,829,443. In the last 24 hours there have been 459 deaths and the toll exceeds the threshold of 240,000 deaths with 240,456 people dead since the beginning of the pandemic.
