Russia records a new record for the coronavirus pandemic, both for the number of infections and for the number of deaths. According to reports from the task force appointed by the Moscow government to monitor the trend of the infection in the country, in fact, 40,096 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the 85 regions of Russia in the last 24 hours, 8.8 for one hundred of them without symptoms. Infection also continues to claim victims, 1,159 Covid-19 patients who lost their lives on the last day. In total, the official toll speaks of 8,392,697 coronavirus cases and 235,057 deaths. But according to Moscow Time the real number of deaths would be much higher, up to 660 thousand.
In Ukraine, 26,071 new cases were detected in the last day: the Interfax agency reports, citing the Ministry of Health of Kiev. According to the UNIAN agency, this is the highest number of cases recorded in one day in the country since the beginning of the epidemic. In Ukraine, 576 deaths caused by Covid have been recorded in the last 24 hours, while since the beginning of the pandemic 2,851,804 cases of Covid have been ascertained and 66,204 people have died from the disease.
The new infections registered in 24 hours in Germany rose to 28,037. A week ago, daily infections were 16,077. The incidence per 100 thousand inhabitants over 7 days, the Robert Koch Institut reports, therefore rises to 130.2 from 118.0 yesterday. A week ago it was 85.0. Deaths in the last 24 hours were 126, up from 67 a week ago. Bulgaria continues to deal with the new wave of infections from Covid-19. The Guardian, which reports data from the National Coronavirus Information Portal, writes of 5,643 new coronavirus cases confirmed in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of active cases to 90,543, after 6,816 infections were reported yesterday, an all-time record. The latest bulletin also indicates 154 other deaths. Since the beginning of the pandemic there are 23,594 deaths attributable to Covid in the country with almost seven million inhabitants. The data reported by the Guardian also speak of another 902 hospitalizations, almost 90% of which concern unvaccinated patients. In Bulgaria, just over 2.8 million vaccine doses have been administered so far.
