TIANJIN – After Shanghai last spring, which lasted over two months, another Chinese megalopolis closed due to a virus. To the 21.2 million residents of Chengdu the city authorities have ordered, starting at 18 today, not to leave the house. Four days of mass testing will start in the capital of Sichuan province, although it is unclear whether the restrictions will extend beyond Sunday’s date.
