BERLIN. The Berlin Senate would agree to extend the lockdown to April 24, a week longer than agreed in the measure between Laender and federal government representatives tonight. This was announced by the Dpa, which cites sources close to the Senate of the German capital.
After 12 hours of talks, yesterday’s summit concluded with an agreement to extend the lockdown expiring from March 28 to April 18. The incidence of the coronavirus in the capital has reached 98.6 infections per week per 100,000 inhabitants, 100 being the threshold at which the “emergency brake” is triggered. From now on, the decisions agreed at yesterday’s summit will have to be discussed and applied at the federal level.
