Covid, the US intelligence report: three Wuhan researchers hospitalized in November 2019

by admin

Three researchers from the Wuhan Institute of Virology fell ill as early as November 2019 and hospitalized. The “symptoms would be compatible with both Covid and seasonal flu”. But that’s enough to rekindle the spotlight on the city, considered the epicenter of the pandemic. To bring the laboratory accident theory back to the fore. And to question China’s management and transparency.

This was revealed by an American intelligence report, published by the Wall Street Journal. “The information in the hands of the secret services comes from various testimonies and is of proven quality. Very precise news, even if it is not yet known what was the cause of the disease that struck the three Chinese doctors”. Not insignificant detail.

The first case confirmed by Beijing was recorded on December 8, 2019, but already in February of this year the WSJ himself stated “what many epidemiologists have long suspected”: according to the reconstruction of the American newspaper, the coronavirus began to spread unnoticed in the ‘Wuhan area weeks earlier, that is, around the second half of November 2019.

The publication of the intelligence document comes a few hours after a meeting of the World Health Organization in which the next phase of the investigation into the origin of Covid-19 should be discussed. The first part of the investigation, conducted by a team of WHO experts assisted by Chinese scientists and doctors, has led in recent months to the conclusion that the hypothesis of the laboratory accident is “extremely unlikely”. However, several rumors – including that of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken – have raised the suspicion that the investigation has been “polluted” by China.

Coronavirus in the world, WHO asks China for more data

Beijing has repeatedly denied that the virus may have come out of one of its labs. Yesterday, the foreign minister of Beijing cited the conclusions of the WHO team after the visit to Wuhan in February. “The United States continues to advertise the escape theory: are they really worried about trying to trace the origins of the virus or do they just want to divert public attention?”.

At the moment no comment from the Biden administration, although the White House has stressed that all technically credible theories on the origin of the pandemic should be investigated by the WHO and international experts.
