WASHINGTON. The White House reassures the AstraZeneca vaccine after blocking production at the Emergent BioSolution facility in Baltimore where it was produced alongside Johnson & Johnson’s.
“This has nothing to do with concerns related to the AstraZeneca vaccine,” said White House advisor for Covid-19 Andy Slavitt. Production of the AstraZeneca vaccine at the Baltimore plant was stopped because 15 million J&J doses were ruined due to a mistake because they were contaminated with whey ingredients from the Swedish-British pharmaceutical company.
