Covid, WHO: “All vaccines are effective against all variants”

by admin

The vaccines developed against Covid-19 are “effective against all variants of the virus”. This is said by Hans Kluge, regional director for Europe of the World Health Organization during the usual weekly monitoring.

Kluge then warned that the “pandemic is not over yet” despite the fact that both infections and deaths are decreasing in Europe. For this reason “international travel should be avoided”. Weekly cases in Europe dropped from a plateau of 1.7 million infections detected in mid-April to just 685,000 recorded last week. “That’s a 60% drop in one month.” According to Kluge “we learned our lesson the hard and hard way”.
