Thousands took to the streets, marched in Havana and in twenty other cities shouting “freedom”, “down with the dictatorship”, “kill communism”. Since in 1959 the barbudos led by Fidel Castro and Ernesto Che Guevara had transformed it into the most original revolutionary laboratory, giving life to Caribbean communism at the gates of the United States, Cuba has rarely experienced days like those of the last two days.
