The president of the Czech Republic, Milos Zeman, was hospitalized this morning at the military hospital in Prague, in the aftermath of the country’s legislative elections. This was announced by Jitka Zinke, spokesman for the hospital.
Rumors have been circulating for some time about the poor health of the Czech head of state, who suffers from a liver disease. Zeman’s personal doctor will issue a bulletin on his condition throughout the day.
The hospitalization took place immediately after a meeting with the outgoing premier Andrej Babis in the presidential residence of Lany, which lasted about half an hour. However, the presidential office of Prague Castle currently plans to start post-vote consultations on Wednesday.
