Marvel Studios officially releases the latest trailer Deadpool & Wolverine on Monday (22/4) United States time. The trailer provides an overview of the journey of the two mutants from enemies to friends.

The video, which is around 2.5 minutes long, opens with a scene of Logan/Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) in a bar. The bartender didn’t want his arrival until the mutant was asked to leave.

Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) then appears from behind wearing a Deadpool costume. He came to invite Wolverine to go somewhere for a mission.

The scene continues to show Deadpool and Wolverine being enemies during their early days together. The two mutants have conflicting motives even though they are together.

Deadpool needs Wolverine’s help to save his universe from destruction. However, Wolverine is reluctant to intervene because he is still dealing with past trauma.

“I’m going to lose everything I’ve ever cared about,” Deadpool says in the trailer.

“None of my business,” Wolverine replied.

The trailer then shows a fight scene between Deadpool and Wolverine. The two mutants are involved in a fierce and brutal fight because they both have the ability to heal themselves.

Several scenes towards the end of the trailer also show the first appearance of actress Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova. Professor X’s “sister” is the villain who will face Deadpool and Wolverine.

The action scene at the end of the trailer is also accompanied by Madonna’s song Like a Prayer. Until then, Deadpool and Wolverine were seen jumping to another universe using the same portal as Dr. Strange.

Deadpool 3 will be worked on by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick as screenwriters. They previously also wrote Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018).
