Bayern Munich overthrow Lazio 3-0 in the second leg of the big 16 Liga Champions. Die Roten also had the right to advance to the quarter-finals by winning 3-1 on aggregate.

Bayern Munich vs Lazio took place at the Allianz Arena, Wednesday (6/3/2024) early morning WIB. Harry Kane cs went into this match with a 0-1 defeat in the first leg.

Bayern got sweet results after the defeat. This German team won 3-0 through Kane’s brace and another through Thomas Mueller.



The Course of the Match

Bayern tried to press at the start. There was a shot from Leroy Sane in the fifth minute which was still saved by goalkeeper Ivan Provedel.

Jamal Musiala fired a shot from outside the penalty box in the 13th minute. The ball headed towards Lazio’s goal, but Provedel was able to push it away.

There were no goals until half an hour into the game. Lazio was able to reduce the pressure from Bayern well.

Ciro Immobile had a golden opportunity when he met a cross at the far post in the 36th minute. However, his header went narrowly wide on the side of the goal.

Bayern took a 1-0 lead in the 39th minute through Harry Kane’s header. Provedel failed to stop the ball because it bounced to the ground first.

Not long after, Musiala almost doubled Bayern’s lead. His shot from receiving a pass was still wide on the side of the goal.

Bayern increased their lead to 2-0 before halftime. Thomas Mueller scored with a header after grabbing Matthijs de Ligt’s volley. The first round ended immediately.

Lazio tried to step on the gas at the start of the second half in search of an aggregate equalizer. However, Bayern’s defense is still very strong for the Biancoceleste.

Bayern added another goal tonight in the 66th minute. Kane scored his second goal by grabbing the rebound from Sane’s shot. The score has now changed 3-0.

Bayern almost added another goal in the 71st minute. There were two shots from Mueller and Sane which almost tore Lazio’s goal.

Lazio was helpless after trailing by three goals. The Italian team did not create many opportunities and Bayern was entitled to the quarter-finals after closing this match with a 3-0 win.
